How to remove cupcakes that are sticking to the pan?

Author: I just baked mini-muffins. I let them cool and now I'm trying to get them out of the pan but they are sticking to the non-stick pan. I tried using a small silicone spatula but it's just taking all the tops off. Any ideas on how to loosen these? I overfilled the tin so the cupcakes have big tops. I'm not looking for tips on what to do next time–just how I can salvage these!

Try pressing the top away from the side of the pan enough so you can get your spatula down there. Are you sure they are completely cool? Sometimes just letting them sit for 15 – 30 minutes is enough to get them to release.
